This intercooler trumps the factory unit in all aspects, it’s not even close to a comparison. This unit is just over 50% increase in core size with a much better Bar and Plate style core instead of the tube fin design as what the factory intercooler is, this allows for much cooler Intake Air Temps. While this can be used as a performance gain, it also can be used as just a standard factory replacement and you will get a upgrade out of the deal. This Intercooler works great on a 400hp Tow truck and works great on 1000hp street or race trucks.
This Intercooler core is 5″ thick with Stock size inlet and outlets on the Intercooler so it can be used with the factory piping if you choose to. or it can be used with our 3.5″ stainless intercooler piping kit that is a very nice upgrade that will help compliment this intercooler. As you can see the Intercooler is much thicker in comparison to stock. But it does still fit with all the factory shrouding which is important as well to direct the air through it. This is a huge improvement over stock, keep your IAT’S in check and increase the volume of air being cooled that will in result help lower EGT’s while helping make more power with better fuel economy.
